THIS CAFE HAS CLOSED PERMANENTLY
The Leaky Tap Mosman Park is a quirky plumbing themed cafe, owned by Australian Olympic Gymnast Oliva Vivian and well known local plumber Craig, also Oliva's dad, so hence the theme for their new venture.
At the front of the cafe is a small sheltered area where you are welcome to dine with your dog. There is a window at the front too, so you can order from there saving the hassle of working out how to look after your dog while you go in to order. Or you can order your coffee to go from here if you are just walking by.
This cafe is plumbing themed, hence the name "The Leaky Tap" including the famous puppucinos served in a toilet shaped mug... and believe me they go about as quickly as dog drinking toilet water too - there's a lot of lip licking going on before and after their little treat. From memory puppucions are about $4. Check out their facebook (link at the bottom of review) to see all the dogs that have had a puppucino at The Leaky Tap - every dog gets their photo taken and a feature on facebook.
They have a good variety on the menu for breakfast, lunch or for something to go with your coffee. I love that they have lots of healthy options on the menu with raw food options and a range of blended juices. The kids had a smoothie each and the youngest had a poached egg on toast with baked beans on the side. I was being good so had a Raw Cacao protein Ball which was delicious!
There's plenty of sweet treat options too including raw food options, to enjoy with your coffee
While you are there make sure you pop your head into the cafe and check out the toilet dining seats. There are different items in each one.
The owner Olivia let the boys redo the chalk board sign out the front while we were having breakfast - what do you think?
So if you are looking for somewhere to enjoy a coffee, breakfast or lunch out with your dog, The Leaky Tap is perfect! We do recommend you get there early before peak times, as it is a fairly small cafe and it does get very busy especially with all those dogs lining up for puppucinos. Also the shelter at the front is limited so may best for dining on a fine day or when there is only light rain about.

Minim Cove Mosman Park is not far from here and features a dog exercise area so you may like to visit there before or after your visit to The Leaky Tap. If you have kids the Russell Brown Adventure Park is located at Minim Cove also, which is a huge nature playground right on the river.
