Dog Exercise Area | Lake | BBQs | Picnic Tables | Free Parking (2 hrs) | Kids Playground
Subiaco Common is a tranquil spot to walk your dog around the lake and enjoy a run around on the grassed area.
The Subiaco Common oval section is designated as an off the lead dog exercise area and is certainly a popular spot for dogs and their owners. The whole park is quite long and extends along Juniper Bank Way and Mere View Way with several entry points to the park. Entries include steps and ramp entry. There is street parking around the park perimeter with 2 hours free parking allowed Monday - Sunday 8am - 9pm.
The large dog exercise grassed area overlooks a big lake, that's perfect to take your dog for a walk around (just note they must be on a lead outside the dog exercise oval area).
With a stream that runs through the park to the main lake and winding paths throughout the park there is so much to explore with your dog at this peaceful and shady park.
If you want to stay a while and enjoy a BBQ or picnic, there is plenty of shade and grassed area, as well as BBQs and picnic tables and shelter. Just keep in mind day time parking is only 2 hours, so you may need to park further away and walk to the park if you want to stay longer.
A children's playground is located within the park at the Juniper Bank Way end. This is perfect if you have kids and you can read more about this playground in the review at Kids Around Perth. Just remember dogs must be kept at a minimum 20 meters from the playground.
If you are looking for somewhere to enjoy an inner city walk with your dog while taking in some peaceful surroundings and some off the lead time, Subiaco Common is it.
