Charles Court Reserve Nedlands

Dog Exercise Area * Large Grassed Area * Toilets * Exercise Stations * Playground * Skatepark * Swimming Area * Cafes Nearby

Charles Court Reserve Nedlands is a quiet but large open grassy reserve along the Swan River and is close to lots of cafes located on the Broadway cafe strip.

The reserve extends from Broadway where there is lots of parking down to the Nedlands Yacht Club. A pathway runs along the rivers edge. The river is edged with a limestone wall, so if you have a dog that can't resist water you may want to avoid this park, as it could be difficult for them to get out of the water or you may have to go in after them.

As well as wide open grassed area perfect for game of fetch and for a good run around, there are plenty of shady areas to explore too.

If you are keen on a bit of exercise, there are few exercise machines close to the water at the reserve.

If you are looking for a spot to have a splash, there is a beach area up near the Nedland Yacht Club. You can also grab a drink near the playground. While this is an off the leash area, just remember your dog is not allowed in the playground area. There is also a skate park here, so just make sure your dog doesn't go in this area either. Toilets are located to the north of the reserve.

There are lots of cafes along Broadway (which is just a short walk from Charles Court Reserve), many with street walk front dining. Little Way is one that we know of that is dog friendly in the front alfresco dining area. If you are looking for somewhere to enjoy some off the lead time and perhaps combine your walk with a coffee or some dog friendly dining, Charles Court Reserve Nedlands is perfect.
