Dog Friendly Chalets/Cabins and Caravan & Camp Sites | Pool (Heated) | Water Playground | Playground | Jumping Pillow | Camp Kitchens | Pedal Kart Hire | Bike Hire | Beach Nearby | Free WiFi | Dogs Allowed (On Application)
Big 4 Beachlands is the perfect place to stay if you want to relax and enjoy down south dog friendly Busselton, or you want somewhere to stay with your dog so you can explore the sights of Busselton, Dunsborough, Yallingup and Margaret River. When we arrived we were given some dog treats for Arrow and some doggy bags too.
Your dog is welcome to join you around the park, but must be on a lead (<2m long) at all times and is not allowed in the pool or playground areas or in the camp kitchens. A one off $50 bond is payable for your dog and they must be registered and desexed to stay at the park.
If you are travelling with kids they will love the pool, playground and jumping pillow. There are some nice shady, grassed areas around the kids play areas where you can sit with your dog and keep an eye on the kids. Kids under 10 however need to be directly supervised by the pool. You can also hire pedal karts or bikes for the kids from Guest Services in the front office.
Dogs are welcome to stay on camp and caravan sites and there are sites available close to the kids play area. If you would like to stay away from the play area just make sure you ask when booking.
We stayed for 2 night in a 6 berth Spa Villa. Arrow was allowed to stay inside (not in the bedrooms however). Dogs are not to be left unattended so someone needed to stay with him in the Villa. This meant while the kids were in the pool one of us had to stay back with Arrow, but that was ok, we just took turns at staying back.
We stayed for two nights in an air-conditioned villa and it was very cosy and comfortable. Arrow made himself at home on the couch. The villa included a kitchen with cooktop, dishwashing and dishwasher (no oven), a spa bath and two bedrooms. One bedroom had a with a queen bed and one with two bunks and all the beds were super comfortable. We made use of the free BBQs in the camp kitchens both nights to cook our meals. Our villa had a nice verandah so we dined out here both nights.
If you want to give your dog a bath during your stay. There is a coin operated dog wash, so you can keep your pooch happy, soft and clean during your stay.
Arrow loves the beach so it was nice to take him for an early morning walk down to the beach. The dog exercise beach is only a 200m walk away from the holiday park and is beautiful on a nice day.
You can also walk from here along the coastal shared path to the Busselton Jetty and Foreshore. It's approximately 3kms and dog friendly with another beautiful dog exercise beach located on the Busselton Foreshore along with a few dog friendly dining venues. Dogs must be on a lead when walking along the Foreshore. There are lots of dog friendly wineries, breweries and restaurants around the area, so Busselton makes a great place to holiday and explore with your dog. There are some National Parks around the Busselton region where dogs are not permitted so be sure to make other arrangements for your dog if you plan to explore these attractions during your stay.
If you are looking for friendly and relaxed dog friendly accommodation where your dog is allowed to stay inside while in Busselton, you can't go past Big 4 Beachlands. They love having dogs come an stay, just ensure you mention that your dog is staying so it can be approved prior to your arrival.
