Bayswater Riverside Gardens is a huge park with an off the lead section and sandy beach alongside the Swan River, making this a great place for a run around and splash by the river all year round.
There is plenty of parking and the car park is located in between two sections of the park. The east side park area and beach are designated off the lead. You can enjoy a run around on the grass or follow the pathways around the gardens here or have a splash at the lovely sandy beach area here.
On the west side is a kids fenced playground, exercise stations, gazebos and BBQ's however dogs are required to be on a lead in this area. (Note: Arrow is not on a lead in the photo below as this was an off the lead area at the time, but was changed to on the lead since our visit). If you wander towards Garrett Bridge, the AP Hines Reserve area, dogs are also required to be on a lead in this area also.
There is seating on the outside of the playground so if your kids are old enough to play independently you can supervise them from the outside and sit with your dog on the lead.
Unfortunately the Cool Breeze Cafe that was located here for many years is currently closed and it's uncertain as to whether it will return.
Bayswater Riverside Gardens is a beautiful place to exercise your dog and socialise with other dog owners all year round, especially in the warmer months where dogs, their owns and families can enjoy a splash in the river too.
